About RLE

Red Letter Events was born out of a love for design. We offer innovative ideas, creativity, professionalism, experience, and dedication – so that your red letter day is fun, unique, memorable and executed just as you imagined it to be.

Hands

Our goal is to make your life easier – from the beginning of the planning process, until the last of the decorations are taken down and put away. Both Heather and Jason work with you throughout the entire process. As a team, we are at your event on the day-of to ensure that the décor is being set up exactly as you want, being the central contact for vendors, coordinating timelines and orchestration of the event, helping the bride and groom get ready (for weddings), and most importantly keeping you stress-free.

Red Letter Events offers event planning, coordination and orchestration services for both Weddings and family-oriented Events. Our Wedding and Event packages can be customized to your individual needs. Please contact us to schedule a complimentary consultation so we can determine your needs.

Heather - Bio

Heather

Heather’s background is firmly grounded in event planning. Her creativity and eye for design are gifts that she has honed since her adolescence – planning events for school, work, family and friends, and volunteer organizations. Heather works closely with her clients to design and plan their event, as well as overseeing event day orchestration. She also co-manages the day-to-day operations of RLE and contributes to our blog.

  • What are your hobbies?I enjoy baking and cooking – especially trying new recipes, gardening, scrapbooking and making jewelry.
  • What do you daydream about? Sand between my toes, the sun warmly beating down on me, and salty fresh air.
  • What are you loving right now?My bareMinerals make-up.
  • What inspires you? My design inspiration comes from something as simple as a color, a flower, a shape, a word, or an idea. My life inspiration is doing something to positively affect people, such as seeing the smiles on my Make-A-Wish kid’s in the midst of their daily struggle.
  • What magazines do you read? Shape, Cooking Light, Seattle Bride, Seattle Metropolitan Bride & Groom, Martha Stewart Weddings.
  • Who are your favorite musicians? Norah Jones, Carrie Underwood, Sarah McLachlan, BT, Nickelback, Moby
  • What’s the most interesting place you’ve visited? Mexico – on mission trips with my church to build houses for those whose homes had been destroyed by flooding. It was a life changing experience seeing how poverty stricken they were, yet they were appreciative of what they had, and abounded with joy.
  • What is your favorite event to work on? I love to plan weddings – it is one of the most important days in someone’s life – and I love to make it perfectly their day!

  • Who are your favorite musicians?Martin Sexton, Phil Collins, Dave Matthews, Dave Grohl
  • What’s the most interesting place you’ve visited? The Rainbow Seafood Restaurant in Hong Kong. You walk in to this giant wall of aquariums and you point at the fish you want to eat – ten minutes later your fish shows up at the table – cool stuff.
  • Favorite sport to watch?I love going to Safeco Field to watch the Mariners play ball.
  • What else do you go by?Usually Jay, and sometimes J-dogg or J-dizzle – depends on which friend is callin’.
